Our Story
Pracman developers are a firm of accountants who have been in general practice since 1970 and are well versed in machinations of dealing with the effects of change from the days of no photocopiers and adding machines and the new technology was having a rubber at the end of a pencil.
Today we have the environment of rapid information flow to strict deadlines reporting on complex and ever changing matters where failure to comply has unfortunate financial consequences in terms of fines and client confidence.
The advent of RTI has exasperated the situation and even the smallest practices can be overwhelmed by the monitoring of deadlines.

The software industry has endeavored to address these issues by developing modular or holistic programs which are invariably expensive, time consuming, unwieldy and " one size fits all " often locking you into a regime that is difficult to get out of and very disruptive to change with each practice having its own profile and systems depending on its nature, resources, management structure and philosophy.

In consequence and with the belief that practice management at the workflow level needs a dynamic overview without the clutter of holistic programs which endeavor to include processes into the system instead of the steps alone as everyone will have a different way of dealing with the preparation of accounts, tax returns, payroll etc.

Having developed Pracman we have been using it in the practice for over 12 months and it has saved many hours of time and trouble ensuring tasks are up to date and all are in the frame.

The further advantages are that we are free to change any software packages for tax return and final accounts preparation, payroll and incomplete records programs and indeed have recently done so by changing to cheaper and better programs with the minimum amount of hassle and disruption. The ability to be able to have an overview of supervisors' and helpers' workloads is invaluable for job prioritising and allocation.
